Why should I choose Net Entry to develop my Website? There are many, many fine design firms both inside and outside the United States. The choices are seemingly endless, and this company is not necessarily the best fit for everyone. Net Entry gets deep into the DNA of all client's needs. The people at Net Entry are hands-on, involved, think ahead, engage the client, and proactively offer ideas and suggest modifications to plans. Client success is our goal, and Net Entry's role in that success is achieved, in part, by the active role it plays in the development process. Potential clients who wish a design firm to act as a "temporary, albeit limited, business partner" in the development process will likely find Net Entry a good fit for them. Potential clients who, themselves, wish to be mostly uninvolved in the process, and virtually hand-off their project to a third-party like Net Entry should probably look elsewhere. Net Entry has accomplished a lot. In 13 years, the company has completed over 800 projects through good information gathering, competent project management, a stable of outstanding artistic and technical talent, and focus on project completion. Do you bid on projects? Yes, though bidding on Website projects is inherently problematic. The scope of Website projects frequently expands as a project is planned and executed, and since there are few standards for this type of work, quotes for Web design and development wildly differ, making the process of choosing a company to help you meet your Internet advertising/selling goals a frustrating process for all concerned: including the people at Net Entry! This company provides comprehensive, though brief proposals (generally fitting on one printed page) for all work for which it is competing. These proposals also serve as the road map for a project, from start to finish. Basic to the philosophy of Net Entry – a philosophy that has helped keep the company healthy in any economy – is to do a thorough job of assessing client's needs prior to making any proposal or promises. Successful bidding on projects comprises about 25% of the total annual work flow of Net Entry. The majority of contracts for service are the result of referrals. To read a selection of proposals written while competing for projects, please visit the Portfolio Page. How does your "Focus on Project Completion" actually achieve its goal? Over a decade of developing more than 800 Websites has taught us a lot! One of the lessons learned early-on is that Website projects often get mysteriously bogged-down in details that can delay completion of a project by weeks, and even months. The causes are varied, but two primary reasons are generally behind any significant bottlenecks: clients get busy with other priorities, or become bewildered by the unique requirements of Website projects. Among the latest additions to our arsenal of Web development tools is online collaboration software. This program is accessible using any Web browser, and provides automated direction to both our staff of designers and programmers as well as clients. All tasks are specifically detailed (with deadlines established!) and their progress tracked, within this online collaboration program. All people participating in a project are provided with their own private "home page" to help them know what they've done and what still needs to be done. With the aid of our online collaboration software, there is a 75% increase in projects being completed on-time and on-budget, and with good-will between Net Entry and our clients significantly enhanced. Do you take on long-distance projects? Yes. Roughly 43% of annual sales are derived from working with clients outside our immediate geographic area. Net Entry serves storefronts in small communities (including one on a kibbutz in Israel) and metropolitan areas all over the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Though in-person meeting is preferred, the Internet itself has made that unnecessary, and projects are routinely carried out with the aid of instant messaging, video conferencing, Web-based collaboration tools, simple email exchanges, and the old-fashioned telephone. Do you specialize in Websites for particular types of businesses? No. Basic to the Net Entry business model is the idea that we are not here to realize our vision, but to have our vision disappear into your vision. The Net Entry design team gathers extensive information from clients about their business, conducts research into their target market (and your competition!) to develop a plan that best serves the needs of the people who entrust their online affairs to us. Net Entry has executed projects for dozens and dozens of different kind of businesses: travel, cosmetics, hotels, physicians, accountants, fraternal organizations, schools, business-to-business, auto, motion picture, jewelry, local storefronts, trade organizations, malls, fan sites, non-profits. Even cemeteries! Initially Net Entry diversified its client base to maintain company health, but the importance of being adept at serving the needs of any type of business soon grew, and became less "selfish." Serving a wide range of clients made the company more keenly able to meet all professional challenges, and never become sedentary. Are your Websites Search Engine friendly? ALL Websites created by NetEntry are inherently optimized. Steps are taken automatically to maximize organic visibility of all Websites in the major search engines. This is among the main reasons to choose NetEntry for your next project. My current designer has stopped replying to my email, and won't answer the phone anymore. Can you rescue my Website? Yes. Most Certainly..... Net Entry has been rescuing Websites and domain names from irresponsible, and outright criminal, Web Designers since 1998. This practice caught national attention when The Los Angeles Times wrote a lengthy article in 1999 about Net Entry's habit of intervening in such situations. Net Entry takes a personal interest in the success of its clients, and enthusiastically comes on board to both reclaim intellectual property, as well as counsel clients to keep history from repeating itself in this way ever again. How do you determine your charges? Net Entry was established as an "approachable" Web design/development company, and good communication and affordable pricing is key to that. The unique needs of a client are what counts most. No one at Net Entry knows what you need before the fact, and the information you present at first is generally only the beginning of "the story." We listen, we think, we ask questions, and think more, before taking the big step of believing we've "got what you need." And by gathering enough information to grasp your unique needs, we easily find ways to carry out a project within a budget —.especially when we are informed of a client's financial constraints, and are able to know the amount of money that is actually available for a project before the fact. When Net Entry takes on a project, no matter how small, it is given the royal treatment. Net Entry gives 150% to all who entrust it with working on the online portion of their business, but we do shy away from projects where trust and good-will seems to be a one-way street. What are my payment options? Payments for all projects are made as follows: 25% - 50% of the total design/programming fees are paid at the time that work commences on your project. 10% - 20% progress payments are made weekly, with the balance of design and/or programming (also known simply as "setup") work collected on the day on which your Website is made available to the public at large. Your first monthly or annual hosting fees, if any, are also due on the date on which your Website is first made available to the public at large. All project proposals include an estimated date of completion. When the completion of a project is delayed due to missing information, the absence of necessary client involvement, or some other factor beyond the control of Net Entry, all setup fees may become due and payable prior to completion of your project. Net Entry accepts all major credit cards for any and all design, programming, and hosting fees. Checks are accepted only for the first installment of setup fees. Checks are not accepted for hosting service. Credit card charges appear on your statement from "Ventura Web," Net Entry's parent company. Does Net Entry carry business insurance? Net Entry automatically establishes errors and omissions insurance for projects of $50,000 or more. Insurance is optional for all other projects. Policies are project-specific, and the amount, terms, and duration of which are determined on an instance-by-instance basis. Is Net Entry a "bleeding edge" design and development company? Yes and no: Frankly more no than yes. Net Entry's business model is to create effective and economical Websites. The company has completed over 800 projects, with a healthy percentage of them for small and even "mom and pop" businesses. And, while the demand for XML- and CSS-driven Websites is growing exponentially, Net Entry uses these tools judiciously. There is still no substitute for good, old-school HTML coding. Do you build ecommerce Websites? Most projects in the last several years have included ecommerce stores, and the stores we build are based in Miva technology. Our team includes programming talent that is exceedingly familiar with Miva Merchant Shopping Carts, having been among the architects of that software. Net Entry is able to provide outstanding ecommerce functionality, with feature-sets that maximize the possibilities for our client's commercial success. The stores we build, whether for a "mom and pop" business, large company, or government agency are all competitive with that of any Fortune 500 company. Do you build simple, start-up Websites? Yes... And with pleasure. Experience has proven that a good, starter Website is the best basis for a larger, more complex site. "Starting small" doesn't mean "thinking small" and Net Entry is a very good partner for businesses that have waited to establish a presence on the Web, or had a Website built "back in the day" (1990s to 2004) whose look-and-feel or content has gone stale. The hectic daily lives of business owners often leads to Websites becoming unproductive, as an old virtual storefront does not do their business justice anymore. Hiring Net Entry to step-in and help either salvage an old Website or take your Internet identity to the next level is a specialty of Net Entry. Further, Net Entry is an ideal partner for small- or medium-sized companies that are unrepresented on the Web (such as subsidiaries that have relied on a parent-company Website to carry their message) as these companies most often need the kind of proactive involvement that Net Entry is well-known for providing. Does Net Entry host Websites? Yes. Preferably. Though Net Entry is primarily a design and development company, it offers hosting for all projects carried out by the firm. Among several reasons for Net Entry to host a Website is to afford it the ability to easily optimize sites for maximum organic search engine visibility. In-house hosting is backed by the legendary hosting company SimpleNet. Does Net Entry provide PPC (pay-per-click) advertising assistance? The people at Net Entry regularly consult with clients to establish and maintain paid online advertising programs, though this is not the focus of this company. Though the talent pool at Net Entry includes excellent SEO and PPC expertise, the return on investment for paid ads placed at Google and Yahoo! is often very low, with the ad campaigns themselves being very costly. Net Entry would rather see client's advertising dollars be used more skillfully and productively by custom-tailoring promotional plans — both online and offline — that can be carried out within a budget. When PPC ad campaign assistance is appropriate, Net Entry is well equipped to both manage online ad campaigns and educate clients to manage these campaigns in-house. |
